What is the Vouched service, and how does it work?
Vouched is an independent verification service for sports card collectors. By confirming successful transactions with buyers, we provide sellers with an official badge and public listing that builds trust and credibility in the community. Sellers submit information for three to five recent transactions, which we verify to establish their “vouch” status.
How do you verify my transactions?
We contact the buyers you’ve listed on your application and request confirmation of each transaction, including details like the item, date and sale amount. Once we’ve verified at least three completed transactions, you’ll receive your Vouched badge and a listing on our site.
What if I don’t have three recent transactions?
We require at least three verified transactions to establish trustworthiness. If you’re new to selling, we recommend building up a few sales and reapplying once you can meet the minimum requirement.
How long does the verification process take?
The verification process typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on the response time from your buyers. We’ll keep you updated on the progress and let you know as soon as your verification is complete.
How much does it cost to become Vouched?
The Vouched membership is $60 per year. This annual fee includes verification of your transactions, your public listing as a trusted seller, and access to a shareable Vouched badge to display on social media and selling platforms.
How does Vouched protect my personal information and that of my buyers?
We take privacy seriously. While we save the information you provide for verification purposes, we do not publicly display any personal details of buyers or sellers. Your information is securely stored and only used internally to confirm transactions and establish trust. Once verified, only your Vouched badge, verified sales (with sales price) and seller profile will be publicly visible.
What are the benefits of getting Vouched?
As a Vouched seller, you gain a trusted badge that can be displayed on social media, a listing on our public directory, and increased credibility with potential buyers. This badge helps reassure buyers that they’re dealing with a reputable, vetted seller, making it easier for you to build a solid reputation and attract more sales.
What does it mean to be held to a standard of conduct as a Vouched seller?
By getting Vouched, sellers agree to uphold a specific standard of conduct that promotes honesty, transparency, and fairness in all transactions. This badge not only verifies transactions but also indicates a public commitment to these ethical principles, giving buyers extra confidence in their purchase decisions.
What should I do if I have a complaint about a Vouched seller?
If you experience an issue with a Vouched seller that doesn’t align with our code of conduct, please contact us directly. We take all complaints seriously and review each case carefully. A pattern of conduct that fails to meet our standards may result in the revocation of a seller’s vouched status, ensuring that the Vouched badge remains a trusted symbol in the community.
